Leading technology providers consider the MCSE certification to be a "Gold
Standard" credential and is often a basic requirement for many job offerings in
MS Windows based environments. MCSE certification demonstrates an
individual's experience, knowledge and dedication to the information technology
field. The certification is also important for you as it can improve your
confidence, increase your productivity and enhance your understanding of
information technology. MCSE certification makes a big difference your position

There are no specific qualifications required for the individuals to
appear for the MCSE examination. However ideally, before considering getting
your MCSE certification, you should have at least 6 months or more experience
implementing and administrating a network operating system in an environment
with 150 to 20,000 users and five to 150 physical locations. Additionally, the
network environment should be broad, with file and print sharing, messaging,
hosting, dbase, dial-in, desktop management, firewalls, proxy servers and surely
enough - VPN networks.
Also, knowledge of managing and maintaining physical and logical devices, users' computers and groups, a server environment and access to resources, as well as managing and implementing disaster recovery, will be needed. Needless to say, implementing security policies is a must.
